October 1, 2007 The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services invites men’s basketball teams ages 18 and older to join the Doolittle Community Center’s competitive league.
The fast-paced league is an excellent way for adults to stay in shape, maintain cardiovascular health, and get in some high-quality hoop time. Teams will play Saturdays between noon and 4 p.m., beginning Oct. 20. League registration is open through Oct. 17 and costs $225 per team, plus $25 officials’ fees each game. Games will be played in the center’s gymnasium, located at 1950 N. J St., near the corner of Lake Mead Boulevard. Doolittle Community Center routinely offers after-school tutoring and sports programs, youth council, holiday and summer camps, cheerleading, tumbling, performance dance teams, hip hop/street dance lessons, open gym and game room, adult fitness classes and weight room memberships, adult sports and sports leagues, martial arts and special events. For more information on any of these programs, or to register for the men’s basketball league, call (702) 229-6374 or 229-1734. |
