August 14, 2007 The city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services invites boys and girls ages 6 to 17 to participate in fall Saturday flag football leagues that begin Sept. 15 at eight locations listed below.
A pre-league skills day is planned at Ed Fountain Park (Decatur Boulevard and Vegas Drive) on Saturday, Aug. 18, beginning at 8:30 a.m. for ages 6 to 8 and 9:30 a.m. for ages 9 to 14. During the six-week league, participants will learn basic fundamentals, teamwork and good sportsmanship while playing in their age divisions. The cost is $65 for ages 6 to 14 and $70 for ages 15 to 17, and includes a jersey, instruction, weekly practice, weekly game and award. Volunteer coaches are needed.
