A night of home runs as our Las Vegas 51s (42-51) defeated the visiting Salt Lake Bees, 10-5, on Saturday night with a barrage of long balls.

Game MVP honors go to Chin-Lung Hu. Hu went 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI’s.

Hu smacked a two-run shot in the first inning and ripped an RBI single in the second. The 23-year-old shortstop is 5-for-14 with two homers and six RBIs in three games since being promoted from Double-A Jacksonville.

John Lindsey crushed a solo shot, his eighth, in the fifth, while Andy LaRoche went 3-for-3 with two doubles.

The Seventh inning closed the door on the bees as Delwyn Young led off the seventh with his 15th homer of the season. Andy LaRoche and Marshall McDougall went back-to-back later in the inning creating the 10-5 lead that they would relinquish.

Once again the 51s organization make it a night out for the family with the always entertaining fireworks display and don’t forget loafs of bread on the way out the door. Not joking. Sure it was little hot but good entertainment and a home team victory, always make it a nice night at the ballpark.
