Boys & Girls Clubs of Las Vegas is offering a free, 5 week basketball camp for youth aged 8 -14.  Summer is an excellent time for kids to get active and have fun. With issues like childhood obesity on the rise, this free camp offers youth the opportunity to get exercise and learn fundamental basketball skills from qualified professionals. Three time AA State Champion Head Coach, Greg Goorjian, has recruited some of the finest players and coaches in Las Vegas to facilitate a variety of basic skill drills and instruction.

The camp will run every Saturday from July 14 through August 11.  In addition to group instruction and drills, every camper will receive individual instruction, a camp T-shirt and nutritional lunches. Offering a free camp gives all youth a chance to receive quality instruction that might not otherwise be available to them. Participants will be instructed in small groups based on their level of experience.  This allows them to improve while learning at a pace that is comfortable.

The camp will be held at the newly renovated gym at Lied Memorial Boys & Girls Club.  The Lied gym was re-opened during NBA All-Star Weekend to showcase the new floor donated by Nike, the NBA and other major donors.
