Las Vegas Neon Invitational Track Meet

Open to Nation's Youth on April 21 and 22

Youth from across the nation are invited to join young local athletes in the Las Vegas Neon Invitational outdoor track meet on Saturday and Sunday, April 21 and 22, at Clark High School. Boys and girls ages 5 to 18 may enter track events, high jump, mini javelin, long jump, shot put, discus, triple jump and pole vault events. Track events will include the 100-meter, 200-meter, 400-meter, 800-meter, 1500-meter, 3000-meter, 4x100-meter relay, 4x400-meter relay, 4x800-meter relay, 80-meter hurdles, 100-meter hurdles, 110-meter hurdles, 200-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles. Participants must be members of USATF and will compete within their two-year age division. Events will begin at 9 a.m. each day. First- through sixth-place winners will receive awards. The Clark High School track is located at 4291 Pennwood Avenue in Las Vegas.

Entry fees are $3 per event and $12 per relay if received by April 15. After April 15, fees will be $5 per event and $20 per relay. Fees, payable by money order, certified check or team check, must accompany entry forms. The event, co-hosted by the Nevada Association of the United States of America Track & Field (USATF) and the city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services, is expected to be sanctioned by the USATF. Wheelchair events previously scheduled for the meet have been canceled.
