Which sport do you play? Soccer What school do you attend? Las Vegas High School How long have you played and what motivated you to get involved in this sport? I have played since I was 4 and my dad just put me on the Thunderbirds and now here I am still playing. Please list any accomplishments you are proud of achieving in your sport: Regional semifinalist a few years ago and 6 time state champs in Club soccer. Four year varsity starter and leading scorer in high school. All Southern Nevada in 2005 in high school. What do you like most about your sport? The competition What is your favorite sport to watch on TV and why? Football just because soccer is kind of boring to watch, baseball is slow, basketball games are pointless until the last quarter, and football is pretty up tempo so its good to watch. Who is your favorite athlete or person you draw inspiration from? Adam Trujillo
Why do you draw inspiration from this person? This is my best friend who I have played soccer with for a long, long time. In the past 3 years he has torn his ACL 3 different times and completely tore up his meniscus as well this year. He goes through all the surgeries and all the rehabilitation time every year and then still comes back to play. He has more heart than anybody you will ever meet. Do you think that being an athlete helps or hinders you with your academic studies? I believe soccer helps with academics because you have to keep grades up to stay eligible and if you want to play soccer in college you need to keep good grades. Do you plan on pursuing your sport at the college level? Yes Do you plan on pursuing a career in your sport as a professional? Yes, I hope I have a chance to play professionally. If you do not pursue a professional career in your sport what else would you like to do in life? I want to do something to do with sports but I really have no idea. Do you have a favorite saying? "You have to be prepared to miss a shot in order to make one." What is your favorite food? Rice
