Sunday, July 26, 2009 By Isaac Kuhlman The Reebok high school championship tournaments wrapped up today with all division titles being decided. The most prestigious division is the Open Pool tournament as it allows the best of the best to play on a unrestricted team. In other words, regardless of what school a player is from he can play with whatever team he chooses. These teams are usually the cream of the crop as a certain level of recruiting goes into making each team. The Open Pool title went to Team Detroit who beat D-One of North Carolina 56-48. The other levels all had their championship tournaments played out as well.
The complete results are as follows: Open Division Championship Team Detroit 56, D-One Sports (N.C.) 48 Gatorade/Baller Circuit Challenge Championship Worldwide Renegades (Ga.) 79, I Can All Stars (Calif.) 74 “A” Division Championship Play Hard Play Smart (Calif.) 74, Branch West Prep (Calif.) 67 “B” Division Championship ACA (Calif.) won by forfeit over Salt Lake Metro Prospects (Utah) “C” Division Championship Colorado Chaos 17’s White won by forfeit over Idaho Select Black High School Division Championship Positive Direction (N.Y.) 62, Ferris Saxons (Wash.) 55 |
