The Los Angeles Dodgers announced today that first baseman James Loney, who split his season between Triple-A Las Vegas and the Major League club, and right-handed pitcher Mark Alexander have been named as the organization’s 2006 Branch Rickey Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively, according to Dodger Vice President of Scouting and Player Development Roy Smith.
