Nick Marshall Named MPSF Player Of The Week |

Tuesday, September 8, 2009 Las Vegas, NV--UNLV's Nick Marshall was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Brine Player of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday. It is the first weekly MPSF honor of his career. He shared the award with Max Alvarez of Sacramento State.

Rebels rout Robert Morris 7-2 |

Sunday, September 6, 2009 Las Vegas, NV--With its best offensive performance in over 15 years, the UNLV men's soccer team used multi-goal efforts from Will Ziegahn and Zach Kupher to blow past Robert Morris 7-2 on Sunday afternoon in the final game of the UNLV Nike Invitational from Peter Johann Memorial Field. The Rebels improved to 2-1 with the win, while RMU dropped to 0-3.
The seven goals was the most scored by a Rebel team since a 7-2 victory over UC Santa Barbara on Oct. 24, 1993 in Las Vegas, while the five-goal margin of victory is the largest since a 6-0 shutout of Air Force on Oct. 27, 2002, also in Las Vegas.

Rebels upset #23 Cal Poly 1-0 in double-overtime |

Tuesday, September 1, 2009 San Luis Obispo, CA--The UNLV men's soccer team opened the 2009 season on Tuesday night in impressive fashion, as the Rebels went on the road and upset No. 23 Cal Poly 1-0 in double-overtime off a goal from freshman Nick Marshall. The win for the Rebels, which was the season-opener for both teams, was the first-ever under fourth-year head coach Mario Sanchez over a ranked opponent on the road.

UNLV'S Neagle Signs With MLS Sounders |

Wednesday, June 10, 2009 LAS VEGAS--Former UNLV men's soccer player Lamar Neagle became the second Rebel to be signed by a Major League Soccer team this year as he was signed by Seattle Sounders FC, the team announced on Wednesday. He will join the Sounders, which are in their first year as a MLS squad, as a Senior Developmental Player. He joins former teammate Danny Cruz in the MLS, as Cruz was a fourth-round selection by the Houston Dynamo in the 2009 Superdraft.
