November 30, 2007 The UNLV Rebels (24-6) rode two straight five-game victories to a Mountain West Conference Championship, but were unable to keep the streak alive with its 3-2 loss to the 25th-ranked Long Beach State 49ers (26-6) in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Friday night. |

November 25, 2007 By virtue of winning the 2007 Mountain West Conference Volleyball Championship, the UNLV Rebels earned the conference’s automatic bid into the 2007 NCAA Tournament. The Rebels will not have to travel far for their first postseason appearance, as they will head to Los Angeles for the four-team regional hosted by USC at the Galen Center. UNLV, who enters the regional as the second seed, will play the third-seeded Long Beach State 49ers on Friday, Nov. 30 at 5:00 pm. |

#25 UNLV Volleyball - MWC Champs! |

November 24, 2007 Just like the two semifinal matches on Friday, the 2007 Mountain West Conference Volleyball Championship match had to go the distance. The second-seeded UNLV Rebels (24-5) prevailed with the five-game win over the fifth-seeded Utah Utes. UNLV earned the MWC’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament by virtue of the 24-30, 33-31, 30-17, 21-30, 15-12 win. This will be UNLV’s first trip to the postseason, while Utah closes out the regular season with a 15-15 record. |

UNLV Volleyball improves to 12-3 |

October 4, 2007 The UNLV volleyball team improved to 12-3 overall and 3-2 in Mountain West Conference play with their quick 3-0 sweep of the Wyoming Cowgirls (6-8, 1-5 MWC) on Thursday night in the Cox Pavilion. The Rebels have now won seven matches this season by a 3-0 margin and won tonight’s by scores of 30-26, 30-17, 30-13. |
