Wolfe Gobbles Up Awards At Banquet |

Monday, November 30, 2009 LAS VEGAS - Record-breaking senior wide receiver Ryan Wolfe led the way with five honors, highlighted by the Offensive Most Valuable Player Award, as UNLV held its annual postseason football banquet at the South Point Hotel Sunday afternoon.
Despite missing his final game on Saturday because of a foot injury, Wolfe (Santa Clarita, CA) finished 12th in college football history with 283 receptions, which was also the most in UNLV and Mountain West Conference history. This season, he led the MWC with 6.73 catches per game (17th nationally), had 74 grabs for 760 yards and also earned statistics as a rusher (41 net yards) and on defense (six tackles and one pass breakup). |

Tuesday, November 24, 2009 Las Vegas, NV--While he won't get to play in his final collegiate game after undergoing foot surgery this week, UNLV wide receiver great Ryan Wolfe was voted his team's offensive captain for 2009, head coach Mike Sanford announced Tuesday.

Monday, November 16, 2009 Las Vegas, NV--UNLV President Neal Smatresk and Interim Athletic Director Jerry Koloskie announced today that head football coach Mike Sanford's contract will be terminated effective December 5, 2009. The action will occur after the conclusion of the 2009 football season, Sanford's fifth as head football coach with a 15-43 overall record at UNLV.

UNLV Defeats Colorado State to Keep Bowl Hopes Alive |

Monday, November 9, 2009 By Andrew Brannon Las Vegas, NV--Coach Mike Sanford compared the Rebels next stretch of games to an elimination series to get bowl eligible. UNLV (4-6, 2-4 MWC) staved off bowl elimination by defeating Colorado State (3-7, 0-6 MWC) 35-16 with a good performance from their defense even though Colorado State had 424 yards of offense. The Rebels didn't give up any big plays like they have been during the conference play. |

Thursday, November 5, 2009 Las Vegas, NV--Ryan Wolfe (Santa Clarita, Calif.) is already his school's and league's all-time receptions leader. Now, the UNLV record-breaker could become Rebel football's first-ever CoSIDA Academic All-America winner.
